I was answering the opening post...because the OP seemed to convey the impression the pilots were equal.
Also Kira's only reason to fight isn't just to protect his friends, it is also to end conflict.
However I'd like to point out most Gundam pilots did not want to fight in the beginning, Kira is just one of them. |
