I'm against the death penalty. In at least the US, it is also more expensive to kill someone than to hold them for their entire life in prison. This is because of the cost of course proceedings, lawyers, etc. I think it is hypocritical to kill someone for killing someone else. You basically are saying, we think what you did is wrong, so we're going to do it to you. It's wrong, but if we do it it isn't. That just doesn't make sense in my mind.
