Elfen Lied definately has one of the deepest storylines in my book, but as the first replier stated, it was just way too short with such stable characters in terms of their situation. Living in one house with basically a nice family, fillers would've been perfect for it. The only thing is that it didn't give you any bull****. The anime just gave you the extraordinary main story and that's it. That's the positive side of a short anime.
So, yeah, I like it.
