It all depends on the views of the Cleric being imposed on others
at least in Christianity our preaches advise us on what to do and allow us to make the decision ourselves umlike in some fundamental islamic states were people are stoned and put in jail for not following shia law
and I dont agree with you that Islam is totally scientific there was one case in Somalia were a woman was accused of adultery and was going to be stoned to death untill a cleric stood up and said the fact that she is pregnant is not proof of infidelity the quran says the mans sperm can stay alive inside the woman for 5 years
