You see, this is what I am thinking. In The Melancholy series, the main focus was the first light novel. However, there was also episodes from the second, third (I think) and even the 5th novel.
So, Even though the main focus will be the 4th novel in the upcoming series, I hope that they include episodes from other novels as well, that way you get more of the Haruhi universe.
