I like Kyon, because he's being realistic about it all. He knows enough to interpret Itsuki's esper ramblings to find clues to reading Haruhi's emotions. And that's a pretty important ability to have. If you cut the crap about 'stepping into another world in the middle of the street', all you're left with is the realization that it was just an animated visualization of Haruhi's melancholy. She sometimes acts like she's the only one in this world, and sometimes Kyon and others are allowed to enter Haruhi's imaginary world. This process of entering Haruhi's imaginary world is what got animated into something unrealistic on the screen. It is the process of human emotions and perceptions that got animated, and the catalyst can be anything. Kyon realized all that, and that's why I voted for him. |
