History:
Brians family had a long tradition of going after the Holy Grail. None had succeed until this date, and their hope had laid on Brian to carry on the tradition, and give back the family their former wealth and power. At the age of 9 his parents introduced him to the part of the family history which been locked away since he was born. The Grail War. It didn't go as planned however, Brian was not really interested, and as he grew older, he found it rather insane to go after something like that. He wanted to earn his reputation and wealth through hard work, with his body and mind. Be given it, although after hard battles, was insulting. No, if he was going to become something in life, he would do every part of it by himself. He decided that he would play along with them until he was 18 and legally allowed to leave.
They taught him magic, but the only kind that he was any good at was rune-magic.His studies in magic took an abrupt ending when he was 11 however. His father fought in the Grail War, and did not make it. Word goes that he was killed by his own servant, of the Caster class.
When he was 18, he joined the army, and worked his way up, and then he was offered a position within the 22nd SAS regiment. He accepted. When he was 21, he was deployed to Afghanistan on a series of top-secret missions. 2 years later, he was sent home. What he did and saw there, is something he would forever keep to himself, but it awarded him with the Victoria Cross.
When he got back home he was depressed, and had nightmares about his time in Afghanistan, and he so wanted to forget what had happened. He wanted to be "re-born", and to live a peaceful life without those memories. When he lay in his bed at a hotel in London, he suddenly got an idea. The Grail would make him forget...
He quickly called his mother, and lied to her that he would do it for the family, and a few days later he was in Fuyuki City, backed up with his family's money, as well as contacts for getting his hands on new weapons...
