I just thought I would create a home for those people like me who love metal, any metal. Talk about favorite artists, albums, styles, whatever really.

Anyway, my some of my favorite metal artists, in no particular order:

At the Gates
Meshuggah
Opeth
Emperor
Dimmu Borgir
Immortal
Dream Theater
Iced Earth
Blind Guardian
Dark Tranquility
Death
Symphony X
Darkthrone
Dissection
Mastodon
Slayer
Enslaved
Iron Maiden

Also, me and my friends just started a hard rock/ metal band and we've written our own song...its one and a half minutes long, but still.

Oh yes, and as a final note, if any of you mention the bands Korn, Slipknot and Dragonforce in a context other than saying how bad they are, then prepare to be laughed at. You have been warned.

Please consider the above statement a joke! I am not going to judge!

EDIT: After testing this, I realized my hatred of Nu metal is such that I may well lose control and judge you for it. But don't let that stop you. You can like the genre if you want, go ahead and post. But please look up some other, not Nu metal bands sometime in the near future so your transgression may be absolved.

AGAIN EDIT: I gave Dragonforce another listen, recently. They don't suck quite as badly as I remember, or maybe they learned how to play their instruments. Either way, you can go ahead and appreciate them. I won't mind.
