Hey guys, I'm interested in hearing myth and folklore from your place. Since we are an international community, i bet there are a lot to share.

so, let me start with one.

this is a myth from malaysia or Tanah Melayu as it was called. A story handed down generations after generations.

They said that in here, there was a king who drink human blood for his everyday meals. Yeah it sounds like a vampire to me. The story started when the palace cook accidentally cut and bleed herself while cooking for the king. The king found that the food was the most delicious food he ever had. He asked the cook, what she put in it. And the cook was forced to reveals the truth.
Then the king's appetite change. he commanded a human sacrifice everyday. after a while, he grew a pair of fangs. And later on the king was known as "raja bersiong", translated "king with fangs".
But it was his downfall. He was killed by his people.
