One evening in Costa Rica I got lost down a muddy trail and ended up in an absolutely surreal scene. Emerging from the dense jungle I found myself in a grassy clearing. A small bridge led across a pond to some raised wood platforms with thatched palm roofs, no walls. Oil fueled torches provided a flickering illumination. This was apparently a restaurant, as a Spanish or maybe Italian chef greeted me in broken English and insisted I have something to eat. He made the most delicious pasta I have ever had. Describing it can not possibly impart a sense of how great this food was.
Were I unable to find the place a second time I would have been certain it was all a dream.

@alex there was rice on the list bar gave out, brown rice is 6 points, white rice is 5 points and fried rice with beef or shrimp is 4 points ... and 1 cup of rice is around 240 calories ... hehehehehe

and you have to say why you like fried rice thailand style ... I haven't tasted it ... is it better than yang chow fried rice?

I just had some sweet pineapple fruit for breakfast ... actually its more like a snack ... my mom bought it from the market and sliced it up ... I usually stir clear of pineapple because from previous experience most are sour and makes my tongue kinda itchy ... but this one that my mom bought was so sweet and juicy ... hehehehehe

it looks like I'm going on a diet c/o bar-sensei ... but not sure if I can stick with it ... eating is just so much fun ... lolz

Sushi, my favorite is called the Ninja roll, is a house specialty at a Indonesian owned Japanese restaurant called Ichibans. Its crab, avocado, bean sprouts, carrot, & onion wrapped in cucumber sprinkled with tempura flakes, and drizzled in eel sauce. Coupled with a healthy dose of wasabi and ginger root, is the best sushi I've had.
