Just got an xbox 360

at the moment I only have guitar hero 3 and PES, can anyone advise me on some good games to get?

Hmmm, depends on what type of games you like really id suggest-
Gears of war
Lost odyssey(maybe blue dragon also, i dident enjoy it as much of lost odyssey tho made by same studio)
The elder scrolls IV: Oblivion
Forza motorsports 2
PGR4
Ghost recon advanced war fighter 2
Halo 3 maybe if you played the other halo's not as good as first halo but still good for story and online co-op.
Those are only games that come to mind that i enjoyed most, probably more tho cant think of any atm.

Also if you have Xbox live you can DL a bunch of demos for alot of games to see what you like. (dunno if you can DL the demos with silver, either way you get a free month or 2 after you make a Xbox live account and most games come with a card in them for a free month of xbox live)

Well if you are in to FPS's I would Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, and Rainbow Six Vegas 2

Well it really matters the type of games you like....RPGs I'd say : Eternal Sonata, Lost Odyssey, and Mass Effect.FPS :Call of Duty 4 and BioshockDevil may Cry 4 and Assassin's creed is good as well.Gears of war and Dark Sector are also good buys...

Hmm, I'd have to say:
Rock Band --->get the game only, unless you really want to play the drums, you can just use a headset for the microphone.
Guitar Hero 2--->has some neat songs.
Rainbow Six Vegas 2--->i mostly play this for the co-op, versus mode is decent too.
Call of Duty 4--->i mostly play this for versus mode, single player was fun too, but short.
Halo 3--->eh i like the custom games.
Mass Effect--->was a really nice game, kinda short if you don't do side missions.
Oblivion--->great game, uh kinda cheap now too. IDK if it's better than mass effect imo.
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2--->i like the co-op.
Uh there's a lot more games, but these are the ones that kept me occupied the most.
