One of the screenshot is of 450kbps one and another is of original KAA's release.
There is certainly difference in the two pictures. But I cannot find any appreciable difference, without magnification.
Since true quality test is possible only with the actual running video, here is link to original KAA release http://kickassanime.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=126 .
And here is the link to the post that contains links to the 450kbps encodes:
http://www.animea.net/forums/f25/mf-full-metal-panic-fumoffu-450kbps-h264-96kbps-aac-kaa-subs-20314/

Okay, I understand this is selfish. But I haven't been able to resolve the delima whether these 450kbps is worth downloading.

(I read the forum rules while singing in, and I don't think I am breaking any. But just in case, such a 'selfish' post isn't allowed....please tell me, i'll edit it)

So far review I got :
Before posting screenshots:
>I can't see how providing low-quality, re-encoded files is
>helpful for anyone. If you cannot see the difference in
>quality, you must be blind.

After posting screenshots (same reviewer)
>To be perfectly honest, I'm a bit surprised at the quality.
>However, what a screenshot cannot tell us is how it looks
>when there's movement.

Other reviews
>TBH, it looks almost the same. I think yours looks a little
>darker but it might just be my monitor.
later
>Wow, saw those pictures on a better monitor and I'm impressed.
>I might actually download them since I haven't even
>started to watch FMP yet.

>the screenshots look good but there is a diffrence i can
>see it quite clearly but im not sure other people will

>I see it, but it really isn't that bad.

>I also see it to, but hard to explain it. Wont matter at all
>if you watch the video for one minute, since your wont
>know how the original looked like.

>Yeah, screen looks good but....
>if somebody download only your re-encode ones,
>then people will feel that your encodes are the best
>ones just because that's the only version they've seen.
>But if you are re-encoding from another rip, there will
>always be a difference.

>For me there is no difference beetwen those two screens.

People that think there isn't appreciable/OR NO difference =2 (forums) + 2 (freinds)
People that think there is difference (including unspecified - appreciable or not)= 3
Neutral = 2

You may ask me, why didn't I post the original forum links. Well, I didn't want to look this like a attempt to humiliate fellow members (of the other forums). I can give the link if anyone wants.

You may ask me again, why did I post so many things. Well, that because you don't feel that I haven't done my homework on this.

I would be very thankful for reviews and criticism (even of the sort - you shouldn't have posted here.)
Thanks

TBH I don't think that there a difference and even if there was 450kbs just lags up my media play so I'd prefer a lower one anyway.

I think the 450kbps one looks better, but i'd only download it if i were to watch it on a dvd player ^^!

To me, storage space and playback is not an issue. I always download the highest quality I can find for all of my anime/hentai.

>To me, storage space and playback is not an issue.
good catch, once reason some people ask me to make it 450kbps is because they cannot play 1000kbps ones.

There aren't much advantages of downloading a 450kbps anime. There is one little thing, that 450kbps media turns < 100mB for a anime episode. So, these can be uploaded on mediafire (direct downloading, resuming, no restrictions, acceleratable...).
Otherwise, I agree no big point in downloading 450kbps anime.
But how about when you cannot find those >1000kbps encodes?
Or, those are available on highly leeched torrents only (besides as 450kbps in mediafire).
Would you download and watch them?
Or you download and watch 450kbps anime, but also download 1000kbps anime simultaneously, and switch to it when it is complete?
Would 450kbps feel like a compromise?

>I always download the highest quality
Even I delete ALL 450kbps episodes after uploading.

I also always download the highest quality. With 1.5 TB storage space I don't have to worry about running out of it anytime soon =)

^^^^ reading that
it looks like 450kbps is meaningless for most even if it's directdownload.

OR
should i not jump to conclusion and wait for more replies?

anyone?

Quality first, I wont want fast ones that disappoints you.

Rather I'd have subs that are continued in a considerably tolerable state that are better in quality.
