This time it's not about vulgarity or how English became the dominate language. It's more about how language has change in the past 25 years. Most notably how technology has changed the language and the way we communicate. Not just leet speek, which is not elite but internet shorthand for geeks, or how we not talk to each other. The cell phone is a good example. It seems that there is no longer any ettiquette on the phone.

Hi honey can you bring home 5lbs of dog food.
OK
Thanks (click)

There is no more hello or goodbye. Just talk and hang up. So how has our language and the way we communicate changed in the last 25 years?

? I don't think it really has changed except that people either texting or using IM's like yahoo or msn have found a way to take short cuts to take away from using long sentences.

but first of all for a born-english speaker the grammar errors made in your post are quite bad...
and I dont mean to be disrespectful, but for a teacher its not permissable to make such errors...
and I dont know how much it has changed in 25 years since I know english language for about 7 years...
and its not about how much language has changed its the attitude of the people has changed, dont seem to care about etiquette, but more about what is the quickest way to say it...

*pouting* I corrected it. Besides I think I'm allowed to do that when I'm just waking up and haven't even had a full cup of coffee. I'll look it up in the rules but I'm pretty sure that's what it says.

yes, it is permissable but you did not state what kind of condition you were in when writing so I assumed you were completely awake and aware of surroundings...
:hope: Can you forgive me?

Oh dear, *giggling*. There's nothing to forgive but I do. I;m usually on twice a day. Once over coffe in the morning then again after work.

Apparently this wasn't a good idea for a topic.
