Long story contest idea

I've had an idea for a SSOTM competition but I think it is too much for a short story contest so I've decided to make it into a long story contest running from November until the end of January with a word limit of 5,000-15,000 words The catch is that I need people to sign up to it in advance because of the Challenge I'm presenting. The contestants will each be given a 5-10 minute scene from a movie, tv show or anime and will be have to write a dramatic retelling of it

so if anyone is interested in taking part just post here and provided that we get enough contestants I'll make the competition official

November Short Story of the Month Competition

Another month another competition we have a new addition to our hall of fame and some chuffed user's polishing their expanding medals collection, I bet you just want to wipe those smug smiles off their faces don't ya? Well I feel the same way so I'll give you the opportunity to do something about it

This months challenge is to take this quote and build your story around it.

---Quote---
I shuffled weakly through the dark corridor my fingers trailed behind along the cool stone wall. I felt more tiered than anything it really wasn't what I would have expected in this kind of situation, it all seemed so absurd all I could do was laugh mirthlessly as I slumped against the wall "So this is it, I am the architect of my own destruction" I sighed
---End Quote---
_*The quote must appear at some point in your story*_
_*You may change this quote to third person and/or present tense if that better suits your writing style.*_

Because some people may find 2000 words a bit constricting while trying to fit the quote into their story this months limit will be capped at 3000

* Stories must be between 1000 and 3000 words long
* All writing styles are acceptable.
* Fan Fictions may be submitted this month but they should contain original content presenting a written version of an episode of an anime etc is not acceptable.
* Subjects such as sex are acceptable but must be depicted tastefully. Overly descriptive details or anything equating to a pornographic novel will be removed.
* Scripts must be paragraphed with a gap of one line between each paragraph.
* The scripts must be posted in this thread *_before_* the closing time on the last day.
* Writers will be allowed to edit their scripts after posting them but not after the closing date.
* If you are dissatisfied with your entry you may replace it with another submission before the closing date.

The competition closes at midnight (GMT) on Saturday the 12th of December

Good luck to all who take part
