Well they weren't that good but they weren't that bad either. I liked the first one little more than the second one. The animation is good in both of em and they both have some nice gun action scenes but it is just about it for me.

i still like the original Appleseed movie alltho the new remake added a lot of missing story of the original and was interpreted differently by the same director (what a difference 15+years can have to an interpretation of a story)

i thought the Ex-machina movie was visually splendid and had a lot of action but the story was just a little lacking so i thought but over all a good film

I would have to say that the first appleseed film was quite good considering action scenes and story and the second was also good. However the plot for the second wasn't that great but all in all, the thing that got me hooked into Appleseed is just the fast paced action scenes really as well as the 3D animation.

but actually, i just found out that before the first applesed at 2004, there was appleseed ova back in 1988. i haven't seen this ova, and currently downloading it, lol.

True, there was an OVA appleseed animation back in 1988 but I can't really stand to watch old animation again.
