yes I have it is told in a simple way but its meaning is deep and need thorough comprehension
one of the lines that struck me the most is this

he was too engross on keeping the candle straight while forgetting the different scenes in the palace

The old man told him to carry a candle in his mouth? What I had read was that the boy was supposed to carry oil in a spoon and walk in the garden without dropping the oil in the spoon. And the boy was so busy making sure that the oil doesn't fall, he couldn't see the what a wonderful place the garden was. I don't remember the candle part.

There's actually a play by that name about a group of con artists who trick people by telling them they can create the philosopher's stone. Thats the one i read.

i like this book..made me start reading other paul coelho's books but so far The Alchemist is the greatest..i like the part about the woman of the desert (me being a girl and all)..and when the truth about the treasure's location had been revealed, i had the same feeling i felt when i read the ending of Og Mandino's Greatest Salesman in the World,lol..
