Im reading the His Dark Materials trilogy right now by Philip Pullman and its really interesting. One of the my faves

I really like the mind of R.A.Salvatore. His conceptual 6 volumn epic *War Of The Spider Queen* Turned me on to 6 new authours. (one per each book. check them out.) His *Legend Of Drizzit* (Splng? lol) is just incredible.
Others:::Melanie Rawn (Please Finish the Ruins of Ambres series) Weise/Hickmann (Dragonslance books)
PS Ever you ever get a chance to check out *The Infinity Concerto**The Serpent Mage* two book series, you wont be dissapointed. *Still life With Woodpecker* is worth a laugh, but I cant think of the author. Srry for takin up your time, please return to your regularly scheduled time-kill. lol. :)

Slavatore's books are awesome.
And I can't ever thank him enough for creating Jarlaxle - I love that Drow xD.

fav books I forgot to mention before (thx for reminding me, Galgalid ;) ):
The Artemis Fowl Series. Really funny, creative and refreshingly different from other fantasy books.

Ok i dont know if you would count...but my favorit book is .hack//Another Birth. it is the book version of the .Hack//Invection,Mutation,Outbreak,Quaratine games in Blackrose's perspective...but the only picture is of what is going on and its only like every 30 some pages.

(Note:there are 4 books in this series and each one goes threw one game)

I really like books! and I really like fantasy.
I think one of me most loved books, is "Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.
In my opinion, the book is just pure genius! It's funny like hell, it has a good plot and the characters are so alive, and most important thing, the way it's written. it's 400+ pages of nonstop reading.
I was living in me own world of the book for a couple of days and I still start laughing every time I remember parts of the story.

Crystal Gazer- I COMPLETELY agree over the Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorsen series. I've reread the whole series probably 4-5 times, total, since they came out...

Lirael is by far my favorite, as it has such well done character developement.
Abhorrsen I didn't like so much, the action seemed rushed and jury-rigged.
What do your think?

I of course like the harry potter series and the entire star wars saga, but two other very good series are: Wheel of time by Robert Jordan, and Laws of magic by Terry Goodkind
