Okay, I checked and noticed that there wasn't one of these (which surprised me). This isn't what you think someone should read, but what are your favorites. Just don't put in manga. But you can put in picture books or comic compilations.

Genji,and tale of murasaki they are of great importance in asian tales and such. really old book are my favorite example 18th century victorian poetry. good stuff!

Very impressive list, faytliengodrjf! I see that you like Garth Nix; have you read his Old Kingdom trilogy (Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorsen)? If you haven't already, do so; they're utterly awesome. And kudos on the Dark Tower series by Stephen King; I've only just started it myself, and I'm really liking it so far! Roland especially is just fascinating.

I really liked it... I never read a book with so many sex-scenes before (and NO, it is not something I'll grow accustomed to...) Oo
Movie is planned to be done this year! ^^ *looks forward to it*

I really like the Artemis Fowl-series. The last book will be out this year (... according to the plans, that is ._.)

Right now I'm re-reading the Broken Sky series. Didn't finish it the first time because of exams (a couple of years ago >_>), but my cousin keeps pestering me about it
