Download this codec, run it. Install all the options which will be given in it. click right on the file which u wanna play, and pick 'open with' then pick 'windows media player' option. it will play any kind of file.

I am using this codec from last 3 years. it has never failed to play any file. if you do not wanna install this codec, then there are more codecs which are given on the site. www.filesharingplace.com , i prefer the one which i have given =)

when you done downloading it, install all the options which will be given. you will see an option "avi fixed". don't forget to click on it.

guys pls help, im having problems with my codec i think... when im playing the movie i downloaded couple days ago, its plays but it doesn't have any sound... can u tell me why?

remove the codec from ur computer. and install it again. if it still doesnt work. then try any other codecs. or the one which we have given in this thread. i m sure ur sound will work. if it still doesnt work then tell us please = )

Recently I downloaded 'Haibane Renmei' here and I can't play the episodes.
The episodes are .mkv files around 95MB.
VLC Media Player gives me sound and finds subtitles but no video.
Media Player Classic gives me sound and video but no subs :s
So what do I do now? I don't really feel like downloading that 1.2GB again -_-
