American DVD's suck

Like Japan, China, Philippines, ect. basically Asia DVD's can hold up to thousands of minutes of tv show or movies while America can hold like only umm 7 hours or something like that. For example, I got a DVD in Philippines of the whole DBGT series plus the movie all in one disk. Here in a America everything is separate. Why is that? Is it like copyright laws or something?

Think like a business man if they limit how much episodes they put on a cd then you would have to spend more and they in turn make more cash for outrageous prices of like $20 for poor quality of 3 episodes of pokemon and if the person is a die hard fan they would sadly buy all the separate cds for just one season O.O

Yes, the above is correct, I believe what Yokurama bought was the ripped disks
