well Final Fantasy XII is best i played in the last two years but i'm looking forward to Final Fantasy XIII which i will top it all

Final Fantazy 10 for me ( a lot of abilities, skills, overdrives, enemies, bosses, items, places and a cool storyline. )

in the last two years its : final fantasy 8 and final fantasy 10 and 12, then there is final fantasy 7:crisis core , and also valkyrie profile:silmeria and lenneth

res5 really isnt an rpg but more so of an action game.. but one of the best games that i have played would be LOD (legend of dragoon) a favorite of mine and FF VII and IX which are in my top 5 favs.

Pokemon Platinum and Diamiond & Pearl version is the last i've played so I think it's the best..

Trully and RPG masterpiece. Haven't tried Fable 2 yet, but I think it might be as good as the first one.

resident evil is survival horror, not an rpg. neither are the zelda games, they're action adventure games.
The best RPGs I've played lately are Fallout 3, Mabinogi, Dungeons And Dragons Online, and the Final Fantasy XIII demo. But of all time, it's tough to beat Morrowind, the Breath of Fire series, FF 5, 6, 7, and 8, not to mention Persona and Monster Hunter, although that's a hybrid and not a straight up RPG.

I'd have to say that Ninety Nine Nights and Lost Odyssey and Fable would be the best I've played in the past 2 years

Brave New Story (PSP) , it had a good story and the gameplay was not that bad.
