Anti-virus/spyware

Now I noticed I've been infected with many things and my computer is slowing down and some files are beginning to disappear. . .

Is there any softwares I can download to erase these stuffs? I don't plan on formatting my computer since there are many stuff in it I want to keep but in the same time I need to take care of the virus and spyware problem. . .

Pls hlp! Posting links here would be nice. . . . cracked versions are nice too

I'm really sorry, but what you meant by erase, you meant delete the virus or erase the damage created by the virus.

1. You can probably find a 30 day trial AV/AS + Firewall for free.

I recommend - ZoneAlarm Security Suite - been using it for 1 year now... not really that good for slow computer but moderate memory usage
- BitDefender! - Using it right now, cause I wanted to try something new! It's great but I still like ZA better

- Our good old AVG!!!!!! Free, totally free!, or you can go get the costing version.


You can always try 'Restoring' to a previous state if so you are using XP (maybe 2000 and Vista) not really sure, which is built in.

If you've backed up your HD, then maybe you might attempt to do that, if so you still have your current or close to current config...

I'd just, if I were you, back up all my useful files, and reformat!

I usually takes me to entire wipe my HD 2 hrs, and install XP which takes like 15 min. MAX, and 30 minutes to get most of my thing running!

AVG is not good at all, now the spyware is poping up many ads to make me download anivirus which apparently looks like a trap . . . .

Now here is popup every now and then

When I was using Windows, I used the Zone Alarm Suite. It was really good. Better than all the others that I had tried beforehand.

Well I hope you can clean up all the viruses and spyware. That's no fun at all.. I used to have to deal with that stuff all the time..

I definitely don't miss using Windows.... I swear it's the devil.

AVG is CRAP compared to some other solutions.
If you say "well it's free" then you obviously haven't left 1980.

Kaspersky, BitDefender and NOD32 are the BEST on the market, I use NOD32, it runs almost invisibly, it has a very high detection and removal rate.
Kaspersky I like most because it's more efficient and spots out more, it also runs better for me.


Just a tip, Zonealarm, AVG, Norton and McAfee are the worst you can get.

I use Mcaffee, I havnt had a virus which has knackered me up for quite a while now thanks to it, I advise getting it, Norton is ok but I am not too fond of it

I'm not saying McAfee is useless, it's pretty OK, but there is MUCH better.
How many viruses you come upon also depends on what kind of internet activity you have. If you're a casual browser and movie buff then you have a VERY low chance of downloading something bad, but for a user like me for instance you tend to download allot of warez and torrents and keygens and patches and freeware ect. Thats why I need one of the best antiviruses

Zonealarm!!! Its the best out there for your offer. Don't go for Norton ever!!! Yes, I loved it in the 2000s, where I started to use the computer truely... Remember using it with my old ass 98 computer!!! hah, but no matter what, go for anything you want cept' the Norton series.


- If your a gamer like me, don't go mac. Your just gonna screw urself over.

- Server, go Linux

- normal office and stuff, go mac!

No offense, but those who say ZA suck haven't used it for its true potential!! I'm going back to ZA after I reformat which i hope won't be anytime soon!

O.K, I just reformatted because my computer is just too crowded with virus and spyware. . . Anyways, I got from my friend F-secure (cracked and can be used as long as you like), is it any good? Btw, I installed the F-secure and wanted to update it but it just fails. . . .

Btw uploadlimit, I used Kaspersky before, its good but I can't find a cracked version anymore. . .
