viruses have become more and more complex, with their being thousands of different ones out there. There are viruses that even anti viral programs can't remove.
Try getting another antiviral program, maybe that will help,
yeah, Just like Rob said.
well sure you can delete a file if it is infected. But how exactly do you find out which file is infected. You would still need a Virus guard to detect the virus and then you can delete the file manually, lol
but deleting files Via virus guard do not eat much memory, Searching and cleaning the file does that. So if your PC cant handle the heat of an virus guard, why dont you just install the virus guard and then Disable the real time protection. By doing that the AV program will not slow or crash your PC. But you have to scan memory and all the storage devices regularly to see if any file is infected ^^
or you can use low memory consuming virus guards like
- Avira anti virus (Full Free)
- ESET NOD 32 Anti virus (the lowest memory consuming AV but expensive yet free to try)

Could you Explain in Depth what is the Problem?
- from what can Read from your Post, that even after reinstalling your Operating System. The Virus is still there? Yeah?..
several thing you can do.. but first does your Windows Start Up? can you Load Windows in Safe Mode?.. (even if Windows Loads Runs & Safe Mode works, i would still try this First because:
Rescue Disk/Boot CD is like an on-demand virus scanner that allows you to scan and remove virus without booting in Windows. When Windows is running, virus are active and sometimes it is tough to remove them. So the most effective way of removing virus is when they are inactive.)
there are two Rescue Disk that are Good:
1. Hiren’s BootCD - that has F-Prot and McAfee dos based antivirus
2. Kaspersky Rescue Disk - uses Kaspersky system.. which is slightly better than Hiren, so i would Use Kaspersky.
This is what you do:
- Download the ISO file, burn the ISO image to a CD, insert it into the infected system’s CD-ROM drive, enter the PC’s BIOS (Google it to find out how to do this), set it to boot from the CD and reboot the computer.
And thanks to TechMIXER, who have kindly made a Step by Step Guide.
- Post again if you have been Successful ..or Unsuccessful

even with av you can't ensure safety. The thing about viruses is sure, you can wait until you computer is infected to remove them, but by doing so you may inadvertently download a trojan that steals much of your personal data before you sweep your computer for problems. Most of todays viruses don't show signs of existence until damage has been done. Only the destructive ones are generally noticeable.
as long as you use common sense when downloading files and surfing the web you should be fine. The biggest flaw with AV is user error, people bypass the safety on it to try to improve performance of their pc's.
most viruses don't show up yeah, they place themself in a program or disguise themself as a normal program so you it's near impossible to track them down manually
and as for anti virus programs, it depends on the program, to start off
FREE PROGRAMS ARE ALMOST ALWAYS ABSOLUTE CRAP
they protect against maybe 70% of the viruses if not less and heavily slow down your pc
you should either buy one or crack one (and since we can't do illegal stuff here i can't give links for cracked versions, sorry ^^")
for best protection you should either try to get the new norton or eset, those are the bran leaders in computer protection ^^
thanks a lot asura, it looks awesome :3

actually many free programs have the same virus definitions and scanning processes as paid ones. they may not get updated as quickly but overall they are about the same. And programs like mc-affe and norton are some of the largest resource hogs out there, but they have the most in depth scanning tools and shields.
What it comes down to is that viruses are constantly being created to slip past these tools, so regardless of what protection you use the best thing you can do is educate yourself on the subject
