Problem on burnt DVDs

As the title suggests . .

I've recently burnt out DVDs of the animes on my comp to free some space . . .

and to check if the the files in the DVD are correct anfd have no errors, I watched the anime in the DVDs I burnt and some of the files are not behaving the same as the files I stored in my comp. such as some screen lags, the scene suddenly stopped at some parts while some other parts are still moving on, some weird chunks of colour appearing to on the scene and more.

And I am very sure that its not the problem of the original files stored in my computer since I cross checked those with the ones in the DVDs.

So what is the cause of this problem?
Is there anyway to fix it?

it could be the reading speed of your dvd burner

First, check to make sure that your disk has no physical defects such as scratches, bends, fingerprints, etc.

If the problem is an encoding problem, which is the most likely culprit, then try a different movie DVD burning program. If you don't have another program readily available, then try DVDStlyer either itself ir by the K-Lite Video Conversion Pack

Sometimes when burning DVD it can take a lot of process power and it screws up the DVD while its trying to do other things. If your PC is fairly recent then it probably is that then. But to make sure close down anything that take up a a lot of prepossessing and then try burning the DVD again.When burning the DVD and to much is goin on it can have errors in it. Also a good thing to keep in mind. Before you start to burn the DVD make sure to have it check for errors before it finishes the DVD. It's not allways 100% but it can help to know if there was a problem with the DVD burning. Thats about all i got. hope it helped.

Does other burning programs other than Nero can chk for errors?

I've burned DVD with Nero and i never saw that it checked for errors, i haven't looked either though Oo but i don't think it can.

I did make Nero chk for error and it said "data verification failed" EVERYTIME

The DVD is still readable although the verification failed cause last time when I copy a DVD, it also failed on verification but I still can reads it. In my case, it was game disc that I burned.

If there is no physical problem with the disks, then I would try one of the other DVD movie burners that I listed above. What you can do is export the DVD as an ISO file (burn to ISO), then try a different program like CDBurnerXP or Deep Burner.
