Hello. I have a question regarding my home network. Currently I have low end WRT54 GP2 series. In this router, I can easily connect 3 computers via ethernet, while another via wifi. Again, I tried connecting another computer to my router via wifi, and the one that was online just disconnected. So what I want to ask is that, what router can connect more than or as much as 2 connections WIRELESSLY at once. How much approximately do they cost? Can their firmware be upgraded (like the WRT54 Series) to improve signal and or distance... At the same time, I will be having my current router create a second subnet inside my main network. Any suggestions? Any will be considered and will be appreciated GREATLY!!!!! Thanks guys again, for helping me!!! GenesisX

If you have the money you should invest in a new router. I have a D-link @ home(will get back to you when I have the model name) and I can connect like....alot of computers to it(yes, through the wireless)...having a 1 computer limit on the wireless is...retarded :S about the firmware: http://www.linksysinfo.org/forums/sh...ad.php?t=44799 You could try to update it, but from what I read in that thread, the router still sucks. EDIT: It's a D-Link DI-524 Last edited by Anon-sama; 09-05-2008 at 03:37 PM. |
