Which manga do you consider best?

i love reading manga, but i aint sure which is best out there. so i wanna know what you guys think =D please do reply to this post. i wanna read the manga of what you considered best one =D

Well by best what do you mean. Everyone has different tastes in what the like. i'll list in what i like most and what i concider to be really good or the best of its type that i know of. Just scroll down to the bottom if you just want my list of mangas and dont want to read all this.
For something Very gory and hell of a lot of twists with a lot of controversial settings and plot and that has no boundries on what is taboo. Battle Royale is probably the best at that.
Something that has a epic story like star wars and with an unreal amount of violence and great detail to art. And a story that just never ends. Berserk is probably one of the best of its type. Also i concider it one of the better action type manga out there since a lot of them tend not to have all the greatest detail in arnt and sometimes hard to fallow whats going on with so much goin on. Berserk does with well.
Something with a good story and plot and could probably be a good read even if it wasnt a manga would be Death Note and Ghost in the Shell.
I dont know much about comedy or romance so i wont even bother saying what i think is the best.
If you like Akira defiantly read the manga. Much more to it and u get more details then you do in the movie.
For my favorite new manga out there would have to be Wild Adapter. It more for a mature aduience. Not meaning that there lots of blood or sex. it has a much deeper plot and story and is a bit complex. Yes there drug use and nudity and all but thats part of the atmosphere. i think its a very underrated manga that know one knows about.

Well berserk is still on going and very long and wild adapter is only on its 5th volume just so u know.

Well...
Eyeshield21 is pretty famous, involving American Football... but if you haven't read, you might as well try it. Its the best sport manga (if you like sports genre) I have ever read.
Katekyou Hitman reborn is pretty famous too. A Mafia/comedy story. At first, it is more into comedy. But later on, it getting more intense with fighting and all. Well, you should give it a try if you haven't read it.
If you like something unique with the plot, I think Soul Eater is good. I don't know if anybody finds it unique, but for me.. its the first time I read such a confusing and messy plot but still good! Pretty much easy to understand. The genre has a slight comedy/friendship/fighting/adventure(?) I think.
DragonVoice . Its about a boy band story (Beatman). I think the genre is shonen(?) i is a good manga... but I think the scanlation group dropped it after chapter 35.
If you looking for comedy/romance kinda genre, I still think that School Rumble is still the best.

jsc315 has already mention some serious/fighting genre manga that I consider good too ^^;

I think Ai Yori Aoshi is probably the best Romance Manga so far...

Best overall "Blood and Gore" would be Hellsing...

Comedy uhhh...either SGT Frog (Keroro Gunso) or School Rumble...
But then again all this is a matter of opinion XD.

To each person, their own preferences.

I find the works of Yuki Kaori to be particularly good in terms of the psychological, drama, and tragedy.

The best artwork would go to Oh! Great or Takeshi Obata, for now.

The manga that stand on their own would probably be the ones most people know: Battle Royale, Death Note, Hikaru no Go, Monster, and One Piece.

The absolute best would probably be Death Note - it made my blood run cold when I first read through it.

Saint Seiya, Dragon Ball Z hmmm i guess that's about it for me lol :P I've heard awesome things about Battle Royale, it seems worth checking out :D!
