In Need Of Manga!

I want to get into Manga. I so far have read Case Closed - Vol 7. That is it :P I want to know what else I should read. I like comedy, light-hearted, mystery and sometimes action. Anyone got any good ideas (I am a male if it helps)

I would read Ikki Tousen (called Battle Vixens in English) for action and comedy
Demon Diary for light hearted comedy

I would recommend DearS. It's not action, not mistery, but it sure is funny

For martial arts action: Grappler Baki-- it is a bit brutal mind you and the art style may take some getting used to but the martial arts mythology is great and makes you believe that normal humans can do that. Like this guy who can break bullet proof glass by placing his palm over it and creating a vacuum within the cupped palm--no supernatural powers, just super strong muscle strength. LOL It's so wierd but makes you think "Well, yeah the explanation makes sense."
