For me, it's got to be Negima! It's very funny and has a surprisingly well-done plot. I prefer the manga way more than the anime adaptations.

My favorite manga is Negima for sure! (by Ken Akamatsu) =)
And I totally agree with Kaizen, when I say that I also prefer the manga better than the anime.... But another great manga by Ken Akamatsu is Love Hina which I like very much :)

Those are the best kind of manga. Unlike action type manga it actually takes some time to read and well worth it too.
As for my favorite manga it would have to be Trigun Maximum. I never used to like it but after trying to read it again and on volume 9 i am just in love with it.
