Rep Power: 0  |  Teknoman (English dub aired in US 1995) & Tekkaman The Space Knight (70s anime Eng)
I recently captured my Teknoman episodes. For those who don't know, "Teknoman" was the name used for the English dub of "Tekkaman Blade" when broadcast on US television. Although I do not have all of the episodes and two of them are incomplete, some people here may appreciate these videos. My source VHS tape also is far from excellent. My videos are in high-quality format with a resolution of 640x480 and encoded in DivX. Teknoman, as aired in 1995 in the US, had a total of 26 episodes, which corresponds to the Japanese season 1. I numbered my episodes accordingly to an episode synopsis formerly located on UPN's website. A copy of that list may be found on this site now, http://www.eldar.org/~brad/anime/teknoman/teknomn2.html . More recently, an English dub was released in North America on DVD for purchase. This dub contains all episodes of both season 1 and 2 to making the complete anime. However, UPN only broadcast 26 episodes in the US and I think never completed dubbing season 2. Not surprisingly, this commercial realeased dub of the entire show features different voice actors who also happen to be much worse in my opinion. My captures have the original US voice actors as they were broadcast on US television in 1995. Additionally, I copied an old VHS tape of an old anime from the 1970's called Tekkaman The Space Knight. This anime is the original upon which Tekkaman Blade is based. Many superficial details remain the same in both animes. However, it is far inferior to Teknoman (Tekkaman Blade). Tekkaman The Space Knight is worth watching for deep fans of Tekkaman Blade or those who like old anime. Three episodes of this anime, along with the intro and outro, were recorded onto one VHS cassette. I captured everything from that cassette. Feel free to repost these videos anywhere.
