I think this is just stupid. Is Death Note good? Yeh, of course it is. It is not however, worthy of winning a book award.

Well allot of books that have won awards aren't literary masterpieces for example John Steinbeck wrote short books that are about 200 pages long but they are best sellers because they have captivating stories and are easily accessible to readers unlike other books like The Ides of March and Ulises
