The Canadian animation company Nelvana announced on Friday that it will use the computer company Hewlett Packard's Video Merchant Services technology to sell the Beyblade anime online through downloads and on-demand DVDs. Hewlett-Packard (HP) had announced on Thursday that it signed agreements with 30 content providers, including Media Blasters and World Events Productions, Ltd. (WEP), for the same technology. Media Blasters releases WEP's Voltron adaptation as well as other anime, but neither has announced yet that it will offer anime using HP's service. Imaginasian Entertainment is already using on-demand DVD services to offer three anime series. Thanks, Daniel Zelter. Source: The Hollywood Reporter More... |
