On Friday, November 9, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York will screen Satoshi Kon's 2001 anime film Millennium Actress. Tufts University scholar Susan Napier, whose new book on anime is due to be published next month, will introduce the film and present a short lecture. Earlier in the day, she will also deliver a separate talk entitled "Anime and Visual Culture: Is Animation the Medium for the 21st Century?"
