i haven't see school rumble so i can't answer your question... but i think you should watch this anime...it's a great anime (i read other ppl's review on this anime and i haven't see anyone saying bad things about this anime :D)

School Rumble is great! you guys should watch it... But sadly you have to xontinue this on manga where the ending of the story is.... All i can say about Clannad it is beautifully made and unique. Some of the scenes makes you want to or laugh all day long. And its about 5-10% ecchi I think....

well, i don't think Clannad has a ecchi scene... this anime has the most beautiful and romantic story without having any scene that let the main guy "accidently" grope the girls for the whole series (which i really hate...because too much of that thing will ruin the storyline...imo, romantic scene don't have to related with kiss/grope girls >.<)
