I don't think that there will be a manga 2, 'cause it is better to end that way, right? If there would be, who do you think will be the next diclonius? the twins? No, i think they've reincarnated as humans, so no more diclonii.

i really didn't think it was that good. stopped watching it after 4 episodes. it wasn't because of the violence and blood, but didn't like the fact one of the characters was thrown out of her own house because she was being molested by her step father. i don't think that would really happen and it was a little sick in that sense. i have seen showes with nudity and violence and bloodshed but had a better story line imo

-elfen lied is one of the greatest anime ive ever seen, everything about it was great :D -I doubt it if there would come an elfen lied 2, like it is said before, you cant wish a better ending.. and how could they make a sequal with the same kind of story line, without it getting bored.. good animes know when to stop, and this one knows that. greetings ilium

uhm you should look further, agree, its a bit bloody but that just a detail, it is still a great anime ^^ but if you dont wanna :p

Well the anime isn't that good. It should be at least 26 episodes, and the story is unfinished in the anime. The manga is much better.

Zeliga does raise the point that the Manga 'finishes' the anime (Although the anime has a different ending to finish it). Essentially, there is a slight different in the manga compared to episode 11 - 13 and then it continues by itself. It was a good read, but it dragged on and became quite messed up, so Im glad they DIDNT make this 26 episodes and follow the manga more. This is my fave. anime, not because of the blood and guts, or the peep-show (Im a girl -.-'') but because of the SOLID story this anime presents. Its 100% Sound, no loose ends (That is, if you read the manga, which I could only stand reading it once, and not twice) and the romance in it. What was most prominant to me though, is how everyone who deserves it, gets a happy ending. Before you flame that comment, seriously, think about it for a moment. Nana - Gets a family who loves her Nyuu / Lucy - Finaly got the guy she so longed for, and his unconditional acceptance of her, almost like an 'I love you' apology. Mariko - Got to be with her real dad, and felt happiness Mayu - Got a family Kouta - Visa versa of Nyuu / Lucy I could say the rest of them but Im getting lazy =/ But still, a great solid anime. I simply love it. 26 episodes or a season 2 will simply kill the brilliance of this anime
