Plot : This anime has a great plot. It might be my preferred Love-Romance type of anime, but the psychological part of this is what I absolutely love. Credits go to the original creator, thinking of something as brilliant as this. I'm sure most people have watched it, some probably loved it, some probably hated it by episode 22 and stopped there. Well, I saw everything, and although I'm a girl, I still loved how it explored to minds of the pilots and kind of gave insight to people in the modern day. The ending/s were quite strange, but I still liked it none the less.

Plot : 9/10

Character + Story Development : Characters are done perfectly. They all show what they really are meant to. With Shinji, Asuka and Rei representing the Ego, Super-Ego and ID. Their actions showed this perfectly. The other characters, such as Misato and Gendou also played their part well, in both character and story. Misato is there as some sort of a "mother" figure to some degree, while Gendou is the neglective father. Story develops quite naturally, I didn't feel there were any rushed parts to the anime and it all fit in together after watching the whole series and movies 3 times.

Character + Story Development : 10/10

Sound + Animation
I watched this in both English and Japanese. Both were good, Japanese being preferred of course. Seiyuus voiced well and brought out the personalities of the characters nicely. Music was a great plus, fitted in with the parts of the anime. Animation, although old, I found fantastic. Its not the usual type of drawing you find in these modern days of Shounen art.

Sound + Animation : 9/10

Overall : I definitely recommend this anime for anyone that wants to watch something "different". You may not like it the first time because you don't understand whats going on, but after watching it again, I'm sure you'll come to love it, as long as you watch all the eps.

Evangelion one of the greatest all time anime series.
I enjoyed this one although the ending got a bit to whack for my liking.
but other than that great action and story line.

I actually liked all the endings they gave. Also anxious while waiting for the remakes due out September this year and first half of next year.

They are making remakes.....Are they going to follow the same story and everything? Or are they going to tweak it a bit? And nit3mar3 said somthing about a new charecter.........I guess I will have to check it out for myself when it comes out.
