Rizelmine Review!

I don't know why, but I've been extremely sluggish all week. So the review for Rizelmine will be short as well.

Genres: Love/Romance, Slice of Life, School Life, Drama, Comedy

Well, I just finished the ~12 minute (without opening songs and ending songs) each episode, 24 episode anime series, Rizelmine. I don't have much to say, the last episode was awesome. It's like the entire anime was just a build-up for the last episode.

The main character is a 15 year old male who's currently having his last year of Middle School. The main character is an extremely naive person and rude. Out of nowhere, the government throws upon him a 12 year old female and forces him to marry her. This where it all begins. The girl's name is Rizel. Well, they start out rough, he hates her, he doesn't get along with her, but she still loves him through all that. At the last episode, she rips up to marriage papers and runs away to get her memory erased. But like every love/romance anime, things turn out okay. Like I said before, the main character has this "arrogant, annoying" attitude, that'll make you say to yourself "If I were the girl, I'd dump him," he's really a pain to watch, but when you finish episode 24, you'll start to think he's not such a bad guy.

Oh, and Rizel has 2 forms, her grown up form (she achieves this when she has love) and child form (basically the opposite of the other). The grown up form is basically any sexy female character you'd find in an anime, while the child form is, well... childish.

My rating?! 8/10! The beginning and 60% of the anime is extremely un-realistic, the people from the government act like retarded kids (I think this is supposed to be the comedy part of the anime, but I never laughed). This is one of those animes where you'll want to stop watching after the first episode, but don't give up, it gets better! I know this, because I watched the first episode some time last year and gave up on it. I just recently picked it up again, and to tell you the truth, I don't regret it one bit. If the creators removed all the sad attempts at comedy, this anime would definently deserve a 9/10 from me!

I was actually thinking about watching this anime, and since it seems to get your seal of approval, I'll probably check it out........eventually.
