That's good then. I heard they were doing a new movie or series. I think it was one of those but it's just a rumor. They could really do another season and just focus on another problem. It would be fresh and interesting. Police drama's are always easier to re-make

The last truly new thing was Solid State Society movie... I think it's available in the downloads section of AA already. GITS 2.0, OTOH, is nothing new, just a hi-def remake of Project 2501. At this point, I'm beginning to think that SSS is a pretty fitting conclusion to the epic series.

solid state society was a great movie. Out of the three I enjoyed it the most because of how well it tied into to mostly everything. It was one of the few series where the movies actually seemed to be connected for the most part. I know not everything adds up but if you can watch the three movies chronologically for a better appreciation of them

I watched the two movies then the first/second series. I'm not done with the second series because I am lazy. I should finish DLing it soon.

i see. when I start a series I have this compelling need to watch as much of it as I can as quickly as I can. I often wont start a series unless I have the whole thing in front of me. even when i dislike a series I watch it all the way through which has been painful on several occasions. But I was glad to watch gits. I didn't really get to watch much of it in order though. I tivo'd most of it and watched it that way to later dl the series then to later buy the whole thing off of ebay

I had the whole first season DLed then I just sped through it. I wasn't prepared. It feel so cold and emotionless though, that is why I had to watch a romance comedy to make up for it lol.

yea theres been a few times before I started downloading and buying massive amounts of anime that I would watch certain ones on adult swim, such as ghost in the shell. And because I had to wait week by week it drove me nuts and I wasn't able to enjoy any other ones at time. Now i'm having trouble starting any animes I haven't already seen all the way through. a little off topic but I threw in a mention of GITS in there =D

Yes that is why I don't usually watch anime if its not a completed season... for example I would die if I would be waiting for the next episode of GITS appear on TV if I watched it for the first time. By the way sorry for not posting in a long time, I had to take care of university business and that took a while...

I generally don't have a problem with watching series that did not finish airing... usually it finishes reasonably quickly. I try to follow several such series at a time to avoid getting bored.
