As many of you know I love older anime and It seems that there is not a fanclub for it yet, so i decided to create one. It's pretty simple if your a fan of older anime preferably 10 years old or older. Something like cowboy Bebop is not old school but it is a classic and anything newer then that i would not consider to be old school. If you're a fan of something as old as Astroboy or Lupin the 3rd, that would obviously old school. Basically if your a fan of classics like the ones i metioned or others then this is the club for you. I will list a few examples of popular anime of each decade to get a feel of what fits where and if your an Old School Anime Lover. I can go on and on if and list all the anime i know of but that would be pointless. although I never liked this type of anime, that came from 80s and even more older, I liked Princess Mononoke and it's still one of my favorite anime movies, I'd say my second favorite. but this club looks interesting. I don't think I can join it having only one liked by me anime from '97 :p

Thats a great movie. Anything by Miyazakii is just amazing. You should check out some of his other work as well. Spirited Away (2001) Castle in the Sky (1986) Howl's Moving Castle (2004)

i have to say when i was little my dad would always play fist of the north star and the great movie of all time akira. so favorite movie is akira and favorite series has to be evangelion. (of the back then)

I am now watching FOTNS2 now and it amazes me how many anime have barrowed from the whole series. Ruroni Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho, Dragonball Z, Naruto, Bleach, and many other shonen type anime. Akira is one of those that has a special place in my heart. It really changed the way anime was done and kind of made it a bit more mainstream and wasnt all this cute stuff a lot that was being shown back then. If you do like the movie i highly recommend the manga then. It tells a lot more of the story and kind of makes the movie a little disapointing. I belive there are 6 volumes to the whole story.

Hi! Can I join the this fan club? I watch some of the anime listed above such as G Gundam GUndam Wing Evangelion Macross Dragon Ball Ruroni Kenshin a.k.a. Samurai X. I got Cowboy Bebop but I haven't watch it. |
