Well other than DragonBall i have not seen a anime arround 80's but i will join because these animes helped anime to evolve this far ^^

I'm just trying to spread the love of older anime. As you said without it we wouldn't have what we have now. Shows like Fist of the North Star, Dragonball, Akira and others really have paved the way and changed how anime was done.
By the way I love the original Dragonball series.

yup original DB series is funny and its good, I watched some episodes of it last year and i have all eps and movies in my hdd, ^^

I totally agree with number 1...without the old you wont have the new. I absolutely cherish my older anime b/c it was the beginning of something amazing.

I prefer the drawing style… more detailed, and more realistic!

Welcome both of you! I agree with you rwt I like when everything was hand drawn. Sadly that ended at the end of the 90's

Mine will be Macross.

Its the 1st mecha anime watch when I was still a child.
Watching the Skull Squad and Hunter. He is cool.

Macross is amazing. The story, the music, the animation is a bit lacking but at the time it was good. It really was the 1st good mecha show with a love story that wasnt just based on the just the mechs. The only mecha show that comes close to it and similar is Eureka Seven.
I wont go into the similarities since this is a place for old school anime not new stuff, but excellent choice one of my all time favorites.

mikansakura welcome to the fan club.
It can be any old school anime in general. The ones i mentioned are just well known anime. It's more of just a reference. If i remember correctly that is a soccer anime. Or as everyone else calls if Football.
I myself am not into sports anime but good to see fans of all types here. I will have to check it out though. I myself have never seen it. Thanks for joining.
