<3's skulls seviper. Is it adament? or attack based natured? because that is the best line up i have seen on a seviper. Most people abuse toxic on them, when Glare is there best stat messing up move :P

she's got a brave nature so her speed takes a 10% cut her speed stats are okay nowhere near as bad as troterra's so it only produces a problem against pokemon that are fast in general like buizel and pikachu I totally agree with Draak toxic and poison status effects are over rated. In general they are only suitable for long drawn out battles I could poison a pokemon but it could KO two of my own before the poison does it in. Status effects are best when they stop the enemy from attacking my personal list for best status effects goes like this 1. Confusion - moves that inflict this are comon enough the enemy cant attack and hurts itself in the process. 2. Parlayses - Moves that inflict this are not too comon in general they are very effective and the dont ware off untill the pokemon is healed when full effect occurs the victim cant move at all otherwise the oponant's speed falls by 25% it can be used tactically against faster foes 3. Sleep - The victim is totally helpless and doesnt have a chance to fight back unless it knows a move used in tandem with rest, moves that cause this effect are rare and by and large innacruate the most acurate version is sleep powder learned by G1 pokemon most of which are weak or not very useful (Venusaur and Tengrowth being major exceptions) the victim is afflicted for 1-7 turns in a row 3 being the most common 4. Badly Poisoned - The victim looses 1/16 of it's hp and the number doubles each round The staus will quickely finish off foes but takes a few turns for the effects to really be felt in that time the victim could finish off your pokemon and injure another very few moves in the game inflict this status effect It is the most powefull of the HP draining staus effects 5. Poison - This is a weaker version of the above it reduces the victims current HP by 12% each round it's only good for really long battles 15 moves can cause this effect Ten of which have probabilities below 40% those with 100 % probablity suffer from very low accuracy the best move for poisoning is poison powder and only grass pokemon can learn it. 6. Burn - if moves that caused this were more common I'd have this listed above Poison unfortunatly Will-O-Wisp is the only move with a 100% chance of doing so 90% of fire attacks have a 10% chance of causing it This effect causes the vicitm to lose 1/8 of it's max hp per round as well as reducing it's attck stat by 50% it is far more useful than poisoning in my books. 7. Freeze - it's the same as sleep but the chances of actually pulling this one off are almost non existant no move has more than a 10% chance of causing it sunny weather prevents it from occuring and certain fire moves can still be used while frozen and will thaw out the victi in the process. I've only ever managed to do this 4 times between playing Diamond and Platinum and I use Ice moves a lot so that says something.

@ skull - nicelist, yeah I also agree with the order. I used the conditions Sleep alot when I am at early stages of the game. Like using a pokemon which can use "Sing" or "sleep power" ( mostly this, since butterfree can learn that. Plus in FR and RG if you use a fire type, its must to have Butterefree + confusion if you wanna win in the first try against Brock, xD ) Then when I get to higher levels, I usually keep my Snorelax in my team with Rest , Body Slam , Meg Punch and Yawn. Now when you use Yawn in next turn the foe will sleep, so you can kick it to oblivion with the attack stat Snorlax has, xD @ mushana - why o.O

@ Hina no more nerdy than the average final fantasy player you should hear them when they get going with spell combos and strategies etc. @ Mushana how come? is it because we're discussing the game? if it weren't for the game the anime wouldn't exist nor would the trading cards, a bunch of merchandise shamefully designed to milk fans of the anime dry, a load of crappy knock off animes that copy Pokemon's formula and fail miserably and most importantly you wouldn't have been able to make this fan club :p @ Draak I forgot about parasect I raised them in the original version of Red and didn't find them too hot their attack their stats were average and their speed was so low they got creamed before getting a chance to use spore, Also in my own experience spore never really lasted more than 2 rounds for some reason, maybe it was a fail safe to stop the move from making the game broken in the end my parasects always ended up winning b the skin of their teeth or being KO'd once I got about half way through the game and the other trainers got tough. @ Ueki Butterfree is under rated it can be used to pull some nasty tricks if you pick the right moves. Snorlax has to be one of the most frustrating pokemon to go up against it's a freaken sponge they never make it into my team though because I can never get m hands on one before my team is established using rest over and over with those sleap attacks gets me pulling my hair out some times Thankfully you dont find to many people using them because they are rare and underestimated My Arcanine is officially a tank now I found the will-o-wisp tm today and went back to Pastoria city to get the move teacher tutor to teach him bite again it turns out because he was hatched from an egg his first move was thunder fang my mate purposly levelled him up so he wouldnt know it when he traded him to me so with a few revisions his move set is now Bite Fireblast Thunder Fang and will-o-wisp okay fair enough I had trade off a move that takes out both grass and water pokemon but solar beam meant I'd be taking a hit anyway and he can stand up to grand/rock moves much better than water moves and bite can take down rock and ground pokemon fast enough

Congradz on improving the arcanine :) Indeed. I had my Butterfree in the team for a very long time. Perhaps many under estimate it beause they imagine it as a Butterfly, xD But really in the initial stages a Butterfree is a must in the team, imo. Ah Snorlax, what to say, Its always better to have it on your team rather than against you, lol capturing the wild Snorlax is also a big pain, it abuse rest so much and then snore, it can really annoy to the point where you feel like KOing it even if it is a very rare pokemon. But when you catch one, its really usefull. This is one of those " hard to kill pokemon " and as a bonus it has a high attack stat ^^ Well I change my team when I advance in the game. If its the electric gym next I train couple of ground types, if its fire gym next I train some good water types, etc etc. Also I change my team According to the route and main mission I choose which pokemon to use and which HM/TM slave to use. Like if its a cave I usually take a pokemon that kills Crobats fast , Pickachu or my dependable Pegiot ( astonish dont work on it and leech life is almost uneffective, xD ), then my Dugtio for emergancy escapes ( too greedy to buy stuff, lol ) and finally my HM slave Meowth ( which has flash , cut and pickup ability ) or crabby/kingler ( Cut, Suft , Strength , Rock smash , a total slave, lol) if its a sea route then my HM slave will be Guradose ( Dive, Surf ), if there is no diving needed then my Laprus. Also in every tour I always keep my Pegiot/Swellow which can use fly, so that I can go to any poke center in a flash. Using Kadabra for just teliport is a waste imo, but abusing teliport is fun when you are training it from abra. Only con in this constant team change is that the exp will be shared among pokemon I dont usually use in gym battles.
