Rep Power: 0  |  jpop dubbed in english not too sure what people's feelings are to this, but i personally feel disturbed when i download an anime insert song and the lyrics are english. i'm not sure if i'm the only one out there, but what are your feelings towards dubbed songs? are they better because we can actually understand them better? or is original the best and companies should just give up dubbing our songs?

yeah i h8 it when a orignal subed anime has some english songs,even if they are performed by asian artists :(

I think it's crap it's not the same either the rhythm is ruined or the meaning of the song is lost cause the words are changed to suit the new language

Some of them can be quite nice (I quite like the dubbed version of the ending theme of Fruits Basket, and Lex Lang's version of Tactics for Rurouni Kenshin wasn't bad either) but it's really quite unnecessary; most people are able to like music no matter what language it's sung in, and dubbing a song changes it into a different song, so it detracts from the anime in a way that simply dubbing the dialogue doesn't.

I dont mind if the anime is dubbed, but music for anime is always best in its original language.
