Default Miyavi Single Review- "Hi no Hikari sae Todokanai Kono Basho de"

Hello guys! ^___^ This is my first post ever on these forums, and I thought I would make it at least a bit informational and useful. I used the search button, but I was shocked to see that there were no Miyavi threads! So I decided to start one. =D

This is a review of Miyavi's single, "Hi no Hikari sae Todokanai Kono Basho de" (In This Place Where Even The Sun's Light Doesn't Reach).

Released: Jan. 16, 2008
Featuring: Sugizo (of Luna Sea and fellow S.K.I.N. member)

Track List:
1. Hi no Hikari sae Todokanai Kono Basho de feat. Sugizo
2. My Name Iz Oresama.com
Bonus DVD:
1. Hi no Hikari sae Todokanai Kono Basho de feat. Sugizo PV
2. Making-of Footage

Review:
This is the first Miyavi CD I have ever ordered, but it definitely was not one of his better ones. The first song was slow and sort of got faster as it went on, but it was long and boring and unmemorable. It is also unclear as to where Sugizo is actually featured, as you only see glimpses of him in the background of the PV. If I had heard the song without knowing anyone was featured, I never would have guessed someone was.
The second song was much more upbeat and fun, though kind of odd. I defintely enjoyed it much more than the first, which is kind of disappointing. Still, like the first, it was unmemorable and I grew bored of it.
The Making-of footage was definitely the best part of the purchase. As someone who is psycho Miyavi fangirl (sort of), I liked the cute moments of Miyavi eating candy and of him playing guitar on the street. It was short, less that ten minutes long, but really fun to watch.
Overall I give this single a 6/10. I would have been much better off buying one of his older singles, and in my opinion his music was much better a few years ago than it his now. However, I think I got what I paid for, which was only about $12 (and free shipping). But I wouldn't reccomend this single to any fellow Miyavi fans.
Thank you for reading. Please note that the abovie is solely my opinion. You don't have to agree with me, but I would I appreciate it if you didn't flame or bash me. I would also love to hear the opinions of other people who have purchased this single or any other of his CDs, or just talk about Miyavi in general!
