www.jimmyr.com This searches google and strips out the MP3s. I've used it for older music. Most American music is on there.

www.gendou.com is a pretty amazing archive. if you sign up (free site with theoption to donate), you can download up to 100 songs a day with a 10 second waiting period between downloads of each songs. They also have anime and forums, etc. I go there often and think the set-up is great.

It requirs registration, but it has loads of songs and its free. You can download one song at a time but the downloads are REALLY QUICK.

No waiting time either! No limit into how many songs you can download.

I have to respectfully disagree with you, brother. Unfortunately SoulSeek uses port forwarding, which, to a hacker is pretty much like dropping your pants and bending over. You're effectively crippling your own security system, and theres plenty of people who use dummy files to get people to open up a connection between computers, and then they poke around looking for various information. The good news is that its actually marginally safer for your computer than a torrent.
