I m looking for anime series which r based on short stories.I love short stories A friend of mine told me there was one anime show based on it but he does not know this show name. Do u guys have any idea?

Mushishi is based on short stories... But do you know anymore details, like genre maybe and are you looking for one specific or more anime series?
