Books that you detest

I rarely find a book that I absolutely hate, but I must admit that I did find one once. I had to read it because I was the president of the book club and the other members chose it. Alas, if they had only told me that I had the right to veto any book I wouldn't have gotten stuck with it /sigh. Anyway it was called "What Ever Happened to Lani Garver."

Oh and please don't try to rip anybody elses throat out if they say that they don't like a book that you love. That would simply be annoying.

I hate Harry Potter lol xD its not that I ddnt like it its just that
the ending and especially the Half Blood prince.........franchise it broke my heart lol

um, I really didn't like the series of unfortunate events. I thought that the last book just left ya hanging

and I hate that.......lol

Im not fond of Jane Eyre, yeah, its one of the classics or whatever, I just didnt like it

Some of the Books I hate are:

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

Boring long books...

and

I guess the bible can coun't as a book right? well I detest the book because most of the words are small and the book makes no sense...

I don't like anything by Sherrilyn Kenyon usually; even for paranormal romance, her writing is way too cheesy and unbelievable. A romance novel should give you the warm fuzzies, not make you bang your head against the wall because it's just so stupid.

I really didn't like Possession by A.S. Byatt. I had to read it for a class, and it was frustrating because it was beautifully written, but it was so pretentious and wrong-headed and boring that I wanted to set fire to the book by the end of it. I've had similar experiences with lots of the 'literature' books I've been forced to read, but this one stands out.

"Der Zauberberg" (what is the english title... uhmmm??) by Thomas Mann. Booooooored me to death, one of the very few books I did not finish. And I'm a bookworm.

I really hated The Grapes Of Wrath by John Steinbeck. I feel kind of guilty for hating it though...
