lol, that series was stupid and when i found out there were another 11 episodes from the previous 11 episodes... i was like "Are You Serious?" . And much to my dismay i learn that i should have never attempted the series in the first place. This series does take the cheese when it comes to twisted. And if you want dark anime try Shigurui or hentai. lol

Not really sure if its dark enough, but try Black Lagoon, and Gunslinger Girl.

I can varmly recommend Elfen Lied, it's one of my favourite anime.

... Hentai is also often dark and twisted, but perhaps not what I would recommend.

Most of Black Lagoon is somewhat dark but easily balanced by humor. However, the Hansel & Gretel arc (first part of the second season) is exceedingly disturbing to many people since it is based on true events. If you want a perturbing anime, watch that story arc with the knowledge that much of the shit the twins went through really happened.

Jigoku Shōjo and Jigoku Shōjo Futakomori(hell girl im guessing in english) had some pretty twisted episodes, and i think there is a 3rd season coming out maybe.
