Is/Are God(s) real?

For me, this is one of the most awesome topics to debate about because there are so many different views.
First of all, does God exist?
For the most part, I believe He or She exists, to some extent. Whether He or She actually reigns over us humans and does miracles upon the world when He or She feels like it is another matter entirely. The most plausible explanation can be taken from the anime "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya"; that the world is but a dream created by a person on this Earth who has no idea of his or her power. Of course, this person would be have to be a REGULAR person, unlike our irrational heroine Haruhi.
Second of all, is there more than one God or Goddess?
I don't believe so. I don't mean to be insulting Greek religion here, but if there really were so many gods and goddesses, and their relationships were really so messed up, shouldn't the world be in a much worse condition than it already is?

I'd like to hear some people's thoughts about God. This is just one of the most interesting things to talk about and debate over. Feel free to express your opinion.

I do believe God exists. This is from personal events of healing and super natural happenings. God is a creator of this world and loves us very much. The one thing I do not agree with more religions containing God is He is not just a fluffy loving God OR just a "Wrath upon you!" God. He is like a parent that is watching over you that loves you even when you get into trouble. Most people blame God for life being so bad but He does not just send wrath down whenever. Life does happen, and it is fully there. The devil is another matter also, people often belive that God sends the people who dont belive in him to hell. Although that is not true, it is not that he SENDs them to hell, its that if they dont belive in him and they dont belive He is their savoir the Devil grabs them and puts them in Hell.

Does that make sence at all? Lol.

And personally, I don't believe there is a Devil. If a devil existed to wreak havoc on earth, we would definitely be in a sticky situation (think all those scary movies times 50000). No, even if the Devil did exist, I wouldn't think of Him/Her as an evil being, the opposite of God, and all that. The devil, in my opinion, is a result.

And I have no problem with atheists. I'm atheist myself when it suits me to be, and sometimes I believe in every religon, and sometimes I like to stick to one and argue on its behalf. Religion, to me, is like a game.

Super natural events? I was healed from a deathly allergic reaction to dairy products, My Nii-san was heald of asthma, my Nee-san was healed of leukemia, and my mom was never supposed to live or have children after she had gotten into that car wreck that killed her father. Also, at aquire the Fire i was praying and because I was really low on faith and I said "God, If your out there, I want someone to pray for me right now!" And someone layed hands on me a few seconds later. O.o

Also, there was one day at church were I was ready to give up on life..I had shut out God and everything and I just wanted anime in my life. I was going goth and wouldnt look at anyone. I started drawing in church (A picture of Lelouch) and soon it turned out he had chains rapped all around him. As church progressed I drew it as the chains were breaking and soon after I had a profectic word spoken over me that I was not just a girl that everyone ignored or looked down on, that people loved me and God loved me. It changed my life that day and I still have that picture.

I can go on if you would like to hear more. I love talking about God and how he has done things in my life. Even now I am going through one of the hardest times in my life thinking "Is God really there?" and it's been so hard but I know I'll get out of it, I want to have faith if you know what I mean?

And the devil does exsist because I have had demons walk around my room...LET ME TELL YOU! FREAKING SCARY! but, the devil wants to grab the human race into his hands so he acts like a good guy, like he is better then God. which is why the earth isnt falling apart at it's seems but it is being taken over with what the bible and God consider Sin.

But this is all my point of veiw which I wish to share with people. I hope I have helped you in some way.

I felt like I had to say this, this is not meant to be rude. But there is no religion to me. just relationship. And everyone would just like to play region as a game, but when they die or the world comes to an end, they find out that God and the Devil were playing that "game" for keeps, when you were playing for fun.

To me skipping regions would get frustrating. XD I already have enough stress in my life! lol.

though i was raised to believe in god. i don't feel that there anybody out there. and i will not comment any more than that. religious talks turn very ugly with me. so i am done with this thread

are you saying that you dont exist, you should be insulted, everyone is their own god, get used to it, we all effect the world in some way, weather we mean to or not, we do, and if we all died then that would effect the world, everything we do effects the world in some way, besides who the hell came up with the idea of a god/godess in the first place? a human, every man, every woman, every child, all of us no matter who we worship are all worshiping a human, in the end, by proxy. the sooner we all accept that the sooner religious wars can end, the better for world peace, the better for us all.

so.. your agnostic then.
no definite religion or belief, but are open to any as it suits you.

i'm also agnostic, always trying to convince everyone who says a religion sucks into realizing they don't suck, just so different that everyone says they suck because they don't understand them.
