I want to know peoples opinion on this genre of hentai

I really don't get why people are into it and proudly proclaim themselves to be lolicons
Maybe they are confusing it with young characters that are cute (Kawai) and think thats what lolicon describes
well that is one aspect of it but the main aspect is that it is about little kids being molested or having under aged sex
Then there are the people who are in the know and watch it anyway
personally I find it disgusting
I don't understand people being turned on by the thought of little kids having sex and professing to not being pedophiles because it is anime/manga
thats exactly what pedophiles are aroused by

lolicon is Japaneses for pedophile by saying your a loli/lolicon your calling yourself a pedo
I suppose the one consolation is that at least the kids aren't real
but I still think in principle it is wrong

I do not enjoy watching Lolicon hentai movies, I do enjoy cute pictures but I have no sexual attraction nor does my body respond to it when I see them doing the thing lol

I agree. I like looking at loli pics there cute, again not attracted to them. IMO pedophiles(the ones that like real little girls) should be in prison for life, that just my opinion about real ones. As for pple who like Lolicon-manga/hentai i dont think its as bad as have a attraction to to lolis in hentai/manga but i still find it somewhat wrong.

I'm not totally into Lolicon I like watching some hentai's where little girls get raped it's always fun to watch but not in reality, it's just an animated shows....would I describe myself as a lolicon not really some lolicon hentai is addictive....but not all in all I gotta say just enjoy the hentai with it's many fantasies and never do the real thing of molesting little girls....lolicon hentai is fine by me...just not in real life...

lolicon stands for lolita complex, in reference to a Russian Novel 'Lolita' where the 40 year old main character falls in love with a underage girl. In that case, when the main character was young, his first love and him often had dates, but his first love died early. And somehow Lolita reminded of her or something.

Lolicon merely implies pedophilia or pedophile, but you won't find this meaning in a dictionary on Japanese.

Loli means the girl in that case. So, if someone says they are a loli, they are either real pedophiles who doesn't know any Japanese. Or either you hit the jackpot in some people's (not me, I would never be interested in sexual relationship with a non-anime children. not legal, and not moral, there must be a reason why humanity came up with that conclusion, and I wish to respect our ancestor's decision in this case)views.

On the other hand, Shotacon or Shotaro Complex is derived from the name Shotaro of Tetsujin 28-go. If you don't know what this means, lulz to you.

well any anime I have seen were the word lolicon is used the translation has been given as pedo, and in general this is what the word implys going by what my aunt Tokyo has told me on the subgect

I correct my post: Lolicon is a slang, which is shortened form of Lolita Complex, which seems to work as a (near) synonym with (or non-human, manga /anime related) pedophilia in western (outside Japan, to be more precise) perspective. You might find it in the dictionary if it has slangs in it.

So, in my views: Lolicon can mean pedophile, but Pedophiles can't really be a lolicon anymore. It's like the next level. Lolicons (provided that they are not pedophiles yet) thrive on relieving their desires by reading mangas involving erotic depiction of children (since in Japan, this would be legal at the moment). But, they would not be interested in getting themselves arrested by performing pedophilia.

That I think is the main difference. The Lolicons seem to want consent in the process of relieving their desire, as to respect the will. The pedophiles do not seem to care. So, if the age was a problem not included, the pedophile would still be arrested, while Lolicon would be not.

In the book Lolita (by that Russian novelist) the Lolita (the actual character's name) gave consent.

So,: If in Japan, a 25 year old and 14 year old have a sexual relationship with both parties definite consent, 25 year old could be considered Lolicon. But, if the 25 year old 'forced' the 14 year old, that would fall under pedophilia. Both cases 25 year old might go to prison, but Lolicons (along with some minorities that are non-lolicons... I have the most liberal views don't I? -.-) wouldn't support the 'pedophile' of this case.

I'll admit I have watched shows with a lot of fan service but not what would be under the category of hentai. However, I personally think that little kids having sex is....well wrong, even in anime and manga. Enough said, I think.

I do watch the occasional hentai with underage girls in them. They dont turn me on, but they are hilarious, so I keep watching them. Now, when I say underage, I mean 14-15+, when it get into really young kids, its really hard to make that funny...

With the definition of Lolicon that white gave, I cant say that I support them, but I do have to give sympathy to those who are arrested for having relations with willing parties. Now I dont think its right, but if two people who are in love want to be together, I dont think its right to keep them apart. I mean I know there is a difference, but if they are 35/25 there is no problem, but if they are 25/15, there is a big problem. The age difference is the same, but the latter is punishable and the former isnt. Kinda seem discriminatory to me...

Those pedophiles who fit the description that white gave, those who force relations with underage people, need to be put in a cage and dropped down a dark hole for all of eternity.
