| ~Akatsuki GFX~ ![]() | Kobe is an amazing talent, that goes without question, but I still question if he will be able to be 'the guy' for an entire playoffs. As far as him being a leader, ya he is the leader of the Lakers, but I am not ready to call him a good leader. He is a turncoat in my books. He changes his mind too easily. That is why I really look at the Spurs being the team to make it out of the West. I think the Suns are a year away from doing somting really special though.

Shaq is old... age is catching up to the Diesel. Even when he was still in Miami he already showed some signs of age xD I am not saying he is totally responsible for the Sun's inconsistency he is however getting in their way. True, Kobe is not a good leader... but he may perhaps in time. His games lately have promised greatness and manifested good leadership skills. He was last season at least in my point of view was arrogant. The press did not like him much so as did his teammates. Now he seemed humbled but determined. I am hoping to see more of him to be honest. He is acting in a Jordan-like way, not exactly like the great MJ but some of his traits beginning to show. I just heard (although a bit late) that the Blazers is the team that consist mostly of young and fresh players wow.. and they are doing quite well

| ~Akatsuki GFX~ ![]() | Kobe doesn't remind me of MJ at all. >> There is always too much going on around Kobe for him to be like MJ. As far a Shaq getting old, ya that is very true. The Suns don't expect him to play the type of minuets he used to though. They are also asking him to concentrate more on the defensive end of the court so he won't get in the way of the offense. They have been making it work so far. It took a few games to get used to playing with him, but I think they are better now then they were before with Marion.

And with their roster who has stoudemaire. and nash... I expect the GM would want to lessen the cost to get other players who might be helpful to the team. He was not the Diesel we used to see in the Orlando and the Lakers. His agility speed and even precision has gone down. His presence however in the paint still intimidates players let it be in offence and defence. He still has that overwhelming power to take control and take advantage of his comfort zone. Not as efficient as before but it makes a big difference nonetheless.

| ~Akatsuki GFX~ ![]() | Shaq brings lots of things Marion can't as well. Experience and leadership is first and formost. Shaq just asolutly dwarfs Marion there. Plus is a better defensive player to boot. Also sure he may be less athletic than Marion overall, but Shaq has way more power and strength. He will be ale to dominate the inside game on the defensive end as well as be a force on the offensive side when they need to change gears.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Boston made the best trade of all the teams that went through it, Lakers did well when they pick Gasol (i wish Gasol went to boston, he can still improve his game) so i was so excited to see boston vs lakers. i watched, read, and basically loved this rivalry which i think is the only true rivalry in the NBA...but i'm a boston fan so i'm very happy with their 17th. but i think dallas and pheonix trades are both stupid... dallas - i'd put jason kidd on any all star team but to have him on that particular scenario and give up too many for him, how lame can they get...he's a great court general but really, he's aging already...chris paul can put up career numbers any given night against kidd...result: 1st round exit, again! pheonix - this is not the shaq of the 3-peat lakers team or the shaq team up with wade, come on! i think when shaq showed his championship ring to all those fans cheering and shouting excited, i guess he thought that was it...make a grand statement without accomplishing anything... result: spurs can whip their ass anytime... | Mangareder + VIP Admin ![]() | Wow you really know your teams and what youre talking about. Basketball is good but I have higher priorities like the Nhl, the Nfl, the Nll and after theres basket-ball. I usually watch about 5 games a year. I watched a bit of the final mind you. But, I basicly pic a team, and follow there records in the newspaper
