New episodes with old content, LAZY!

I am getting sick to death of animes which are produced weekly in which the first 5 min of the show is nothing but that last 5 min of the last show. STOP BEING LAZY PRODUCERS 30 sec is all you need to recap last weeks episode. Bleach and naruto are prime culprits of this and its starting to make me mad. At least get a narrator to say something cool over the old video or something, anyway thats my rant

I don't really mind when that happens, considering people watching in Japan are more likely to be watching weekly.
On the other hand, I do dislike it, if I am doing a anime marathon type of watching.

^ agreed, but if you use VLC then its a matter of using Ctrl + right hand arrow.

Its not the fact that I have to watch it and its a waste of time its that fact that instead of 20 min of anime I only get 15

Too right the only time I dont mind a recap more than a minute long is when they do it with different animation or from another characters point of view but in general a minute is more than enough all you need is a few quick flashes fro key moments thats it

I don't use VLC media player, but I do have a player that does skipping.
However, it annoys me when I get rmvb formats, real player needs a skip 10 sec short cut or something.

It was just like when I watched Kare Kano ... they always have a recap at the start of the show ... and then they have episode 25 where the whole episode was just a recap ... maybe its ok for those who watch the series on a weekly basis but once its in DVD format they should remove the recaps altogether ... sheeze

worst thing was when I burrowed my anime from a Chinese DVD rental place, I had to spend about 8 mins between episodes for closing 1:30 -> Next Episode Preview 1 minute-> Extra (like Lucky Channel of Lucky Star, Tachikoma days from GITS) 2 minute -> Recap 2 minutes -> Opening 1:30.
I can't exactly remember the name, and I can't be bothered asking for it again. It was a really old anime.

skip didn't exist for this stupid DVD (the CD not the player), and fast forward was I think x8 speed, since it still took a while.
Then lost my remote, so I had to.
